Starship Charters

Captain Bill Lopes, a USCG licensed Master Captain since 1992, now holds a Master Near Coastal 100 ton Captains License. As a captain, Bill worked on and off shore on many tug boats and barges, delivering private boats of all sizes along the eastern coast and has captained many fishing charters.

Bill comes from a family of long lost fisherman and lobstermen so he’s been on the water since a wee one. In 1977 he bought the original wooden Starship and invested years building it into the boat of his dreams. After many years of hard work, he decided to get something with a little less maintenance than “The old wood dog,” and that is how Starship II, or "The Blue Bomb," came about. Captain Bill’s passion for boating shows and he’d love to invite you to join him in any day trip, whether fishing or enjoying any cruise of your choice on the water!
